About the Trainer

Rakesh Maharaj 


Rakesh is a multidisciplinary management and training consultant. He has successfully completed his MBA (with distinction) from Hull Business School, holds an Honours Degree in Occupational Health and Safety and Epidemiology. He is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is approved to deliver the following accredited courses: Safety for Senior Executives, Directing and Managing Safely for Wind Power and Power Sectors, Contract Management. He is also a professional member of the Institute of Business Consulting, American Society of Safety Engineers and International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and Lead Auditor trained to IRCA standards.


Rakesh is one of the few management systems practitioners who use business management tools and applied systems thinking techniques to optimise strategic and making risk decisions central to business decision making in high hazard environments. Rakesh has worked with a number of blue chip companies such as EDF Energy, EON, London Array, Triton Knoll, Cubico, Contour Global amongst many others. 


Khalida Suleymanova 


Most of Khalida’s experience is gained through consulting work for renewable and thermal power, utilities and oil and gas companies, including improving business processes, training development, quality assurance and health and safety management systems auditing. Holding credentials such as an MBA degree with distinction, a Masters and Bachelors in International Relations equips her to identify and design solutions specific to business need rather than recommend off-the-shelf solutions. This experience is complimented by her being ISO9001 and ISM Code Lead Auditor trained to IRCA standards. She possesses NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Khalida specialises in improving business decision making, enhancing competence, resource optimisation and improved supply chain performance that delivers consistently safer outcomes and opportunities for revenue protection and growth.
